Monster Lollies
Ingredients (makes 10):
- 150g milk chocolate
- 150g white chocolate
- large edible candy eyes
- small edible candy eyes
Equipment:
- 10 wooden lolly sticks
Note: A grown-up must supervise and help with preparation.
Method:
- Line 2 baking trays with greaseproof or baking paper. Place 5 of the lolly sticks equally spread out on each baking tray.
- Break the chocolate into pieces and place each type of chocolate in a separate microwave safe bowl.
- Melt each bowl of chocolate in the microwave at 30 second intervals, stirring in between, until just melted and smooth.
- Spoon the chocolates into disposable piping bags or small plastic freezer bags.
- Snip the corner off the bag of milk chocolate, then pipe a random squiggly pattern over one of the lolly sticks. Repeat with the remaining 4 sticks on that tray or until all the mixture has been used up.
- Working quickly, push an assortment of large and small candy eyeballs into each lolly to turn them into monsters.
- Repeat with the white chocolate until you have 10 monster lollies.
- Once finished, place the trays of monster lollies in the fridge to harden and set – about 15 to 20 minutes should be enough.
- Remove from the fridge and store in a cool dry place until ready to serve.
