I Love surprises!

What’s it all about?

It’s her birthday, so Hennie the Ostrich is off to play tennis with the girls – but her racket is so old that it has a huge hole in it! The Squirrels feel bad that they’ve forgotten their friend’s birthday, but fortunately, Duggee is all over things as usual, and has bought Hennie a brand new racket for a present. All the Squirrels need to do now is wrap it…

This is the episode where:

  1. The Squirrels have a difficult time getting the last piece of wrapping paper to stick!
  2. Hennie wears roller skates to play tennis.
  3. It takes 18 pieces of wrapping paper to wrap Hennie’s enormous present!
Isn’t It Time For…?

Isn’t It Time For…?

At the start of the episode, Norrie is playing hopscotch, when she realises it’s time for Squirrel Club.

What did we learn?

  1. Surprises are fun! But remember, if you tell the person you’re surprising what the surprise is, it’s no longer a surprise!
  2. Surprise presents are great for people’s birthdays! Who do you know who has a birthday soon? What do you think they would like?
Well That Was Fun, Wasn’t It, Duggee?
